Awkwafina

Awkwafina started out as an American musician and rapper releasing sly tracks that tackled issues such as racial and sexual identity with a comedic twist. In the years before she stepped to Hollywood her career, she could make a few songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first music experience. She was a trumpet player. After classical and Jazz training, she delved into hip-hop when she was an teen. After concentrating on education, she was awarded the degree of journalist in the college as well as a women's studies specialization. She didn't start focusing on music until after she graduated. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet eventually landing on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. Some other hits that went viral included Queef track, and the witty NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The latter track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. She decided to pursue acting as a profession after having completed her two previous endeavors, author and musician. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2. Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered a number of major roles like Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
